Frequently Asked Questions
Why is your studio named Seed?
At Seed, we believe in meeting you where you are. We value the process and continual growth, much like the journey of a plant. It all begins with something small—a seed—that grows into an amazing plant. We've combined our personal passions for women's health, pre and postnatal care, the importance of deep core strength, and the love of understanding how plants grow from a seed. It all begins with a Seed!

What class level should I book?
If you're new to Pilates, we recommend starting with at least 3 - 5 beginner classes to assess your level and familiarize yourself with the movements and our equipment. We offer a great Foundation Package that includes a combination of both group and private sessions to provide additional support as you build your foundation.
Once you've completed a couple of beginner classes at our studio, you’re welcome to explore our other classes as you continue to deepen your practice. We always recommend doing a number of beginner classes first as you learn the exercises and familiarize yourself with the equipment. If you have any questions, our teachers will always be happy to provide guidance.
If you are a seasoned pro but are new to our Studio, we ask you to message us directly so we can assess what class may be best suited for you.
How do I book a class?
You can easily book your class via the MindBody App or our website. Just select the class you want, and you're all set! You can also use our MindBody website to reserve your spot.

Our classes are designed to meet you where you are and there’s a starting point for everyone. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner, we are here to guide you every step of the way, ensuring you feel supported and encouraged.

What is Pilates and how is Seed Studio different from other studios?
At Seed Studio, Pilates is more than just a workout; it’s a holistic journey of self-awareness and mindful movement. We believe in meeting you where you are and value the process and growth.
While many studios only focus on following a set of exercises, we focus on both the movement, as well as the relationship between teacher and student. While we do focus on the Joseph Pilates Method, our classes go beyond performing a set of movements—it’s about an ongoing dialogue where you and your teacher work together to discover what your body needs.
At Seed, the true magic of Pilates happens when students and teachers collaborate to create an experience that is both challenging and nourishing. Our studio is also purposefully small, with only 5 reformers, ensuring students get personalized attention and can safely achieve meaningful results.
This unique, interactive approach fosters deeper understanding, gradual progress, and personalized attention in every class.
What is the difference between mat, tower, and reformer classes?
Mat Classes: Performed on a mat using your body weight and a combination of tools such as blocks, Pilates rings, etc. Mat classes help build a critical foundation to your Pilates journey and are often more difficult as your body has no aids. The class is also an excellent way to improve your strength, flexibility and coordination.
Tower Classes: Utilize a special vertical frame called the Tower, which adds resistance through springs to intensify movements. It’s a great option for targeting specific muscle groups working on strength and mobility. The Tower allows you to use resistance in the form of pressing AND pulling to increase alignment, supple joints and flexibility. We promise you will love it!
Reformer Classes: Performed using the Reformer machine, which has adjustable springs for resistance, allowing for a full-body workout that strengthens, stretches, and lengthens muscles. This is one of the most popular ways to experience Pilates.
Mixed apparatus: In this class, the instructor may use multiple pieces of equipment to help grow and deepen your Pilates practice. Reformer, Tower, Pilates Arcs, Mat and/or even the jump board may be used in these classes to provide a fun, well-rounded experience. This class is great for people who typically attend classes where the instructor uses the Reformer exclusively. You will be able to take your Reformer knowledge and apply it to all the other apparatuses that Seed Studio offers.
Post Natal Rehab: This series is intended to help new mothers reconnect with their core and begin to move mindfully in a way that supports the changes their body has undergone during pregnancy and through recovery. No experience is necessary, and this class is open to all mothers.
*You are welcome to bring your baby to class and we will have an extra set of hands in the studio to help, hold or cuddle as needed.
Do you offer private sessions?
Yes we do! Whether you're just starting your Pilates journey or you've been practising for years, private Pilates classes can be a transformative addition to your practice.
Pricing:
60-minute Private: $110
60-minute Semi-Private (2 people): $70 per person.
Private sessions are perfect for those looking to work on specific goals or those who prefer one-on-one instruction.

Why is Pilates more expensive than other fitness options?
Pilates can be more expensive than other fitness options because it offers a more personalized and high-quality experience. At our small, women-owned studio, we prioritize quality over quantity, with only 5 reformers in each class to ensure individualized attention.
We also invest in top-of-the-line equipment and our teachers continually undergo training to provide the highest quality experience to our students. While this does contribute to higher prices, we believe it's essential to deliver an exceptional Pilates experience that helps you achieve your goals.
